Data Protection Statement

At MIKSCH GmbH we take the protection of your personal data very seriously and comply strictly with the rules of the Data Protection Acts. Personal data is only collected from this website to the extent that is required for technical or processing purposes. In no case is the collected data sold or forwarded to third parties for any other reasons.

The following statement gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what type of data is collected and for what purpose.

1. Data Processing on this website

MIKSCH GmbH collects and automatically saves information in its server log files that your browser transmits to us. This comprises:

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP-Address)
  • Time of server request

For us this data cannot be assigned to specific people if there was no user log in. This data is not merged with other data sources and the data is also deleted after a statistical evaluation.

2. Contact Area

Personal data is only collected if you have notified us of this information when you made contact with us. We save the data submitted by you such as name, company, address, email and telephone and we use this data solely for the purposes of personal communications with you. Please ensure that you transmit the data unencrypted and therefore no confidential information should be sent via email without encryption. Your specified contact data - in particular your email address - will remain saved with us until you request the deletion thereof or a contractual relationship is terminated and processed; this also comprises any legal or contractual guarantee and fiscal retention periods, or a request from you has been resolved. Personal data will then be immediately deleted by us.

Please see Section 5 below in relation to the use of your email address, and specifically as regards the login area and for advertising purposes.

4. Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files which are saved on your computer and which enable you to analyse the website usage. The information generated from the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities for the website operators and to provide other services associated with website usage and internet usage. If required Google will also transfer this information to third parties, if this is legally prescribed or if third parties are processing this data on behalf of Google. In no case will Google connect your IP-address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by a corresponding setting in your browser software as we explained above. In this case please observe our note at the end of our statement in Section 3 "Cookies."

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation

IP anonymisation is activated on this website. Your IP address will be truncated by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is sent to the United States. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services associated with website activity and Internet use for the website operator. The IP address sent by your browser for Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that by doing so you may not be able to use all the features of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) from being passed to Google and being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Processing of data by a third-party processor

We have entered into a contract with Google to process data on our behalf and we fully apply the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic data collection by Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics' Demographics data. This data can be used to create reports that include statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from personalised advertising by Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be attributed to a specific person.

You can disable this feature at any time by changing the ads settings in your Google account, or you can prevent your data being collected by Google Analytics generally by following the instructions under "Objecting to the collection of data". 

5. Login Area / Advertising Emails

If you would like to use the login area provided on the website we will need a valid email address from you plus information which will enable us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address. Other data is collected in the protected area and is only used for order processing purposes. The provision of this data shall only be required if we enter into a legal commercial relationship. MIKSCH GmbH reserves the right to evaluate the usage data for its own marketing purposes. A newsletter or any other advertising email will only be sent to you or your company if you have given your prior consent to this. Data is never forwarded to third parties without your consent. You can revoke your consent for the saving of your data and your email address and their usage at any time.

Repeat of Declaration of Consent

You have expressly given us the following consents and we have recorded your consent. According to the German Telemedia Act, we are under the obligation to hold the consents ready at all times for revocation. You can therefore revoke your consent(s) at any time with future effect.

6. Information Right

You are entitled at all times to receive information about your personal data saved, its origins and recipients plus the purpose of the saving. Information about any saved data will be provided by the data protection officer of MIKSCH GmbH. In this eventuality please approach the contacts listed below either by email or in writing.

7. Further Information

Your trust is important to us. Therefore we would like to be accountable to you at all times in relation to the processing of your personal data. If you have any questions that this Data Protection please contact us. Our contact address is stated in our Imprint and/or at the end of this advisory text. You may ask at any time whether and which of your data is saved with us. You can also send information plus blocking, deletion and correction requests in relation to your personal data and also revocations of any consents awarded, plus any suggestions you may have to us by email, fax or letter.
